2011 Ducati Multistrada 1200S Touring STOLEN
My main bike and the reason for this new blog. A beautiful red 2011 MTS1200S Touring that I bought with only 5.200km.
It’s got all the OEM bling from the S Touring version (Öhlins electronic suspension, Riding Modes, Hard Cases, etc) and a few nice extras: the Ducati Performance (DP) / Termignoni end can, DP Touring Windshield and DP/Garmin Zumo 510 GPS. There are a few more extras that I want to fit but for now that will have to wait.
It’s by far the fanciest and most hightech bike I’ve ever owned and I most confess that worries me a bit, if anything goes wrong there is no way I can fix it… but let’s hope it never does!
2012 LML Star 125 4T
This one isn’t really mine (it’s my GF’s) but I probably ride it a lot more than she does an I really love the little bike so she also gets a place here!
LML used to build the Vespa PX in India for Piaggio back the 80s and when Piaggio stopped selling the PX, LML kept on making it, renamed the LML Star and started selling them in Europe and the US. The success of this brand new bike with vintage technology was so big in the last few years that Piaggio itself started selling a modernized version of the PX (although considerably more expensive then LML’s version).
The LML is pricier, low tech and slower than most of it’s modern rivals (Daelim, Kymco, etc) but it makes up with a lot of charisma and style. You just can’t beat the looks of the pressed sheet metal panels and the 4 speed grip shifter.
I just love riding it around town and with the rear rack it can move serious loads when shopping.
